1. Majuli Island, India – This piece of River Island had an area of 1200 sq. km, has now got nearly submerged in waters. With only almost 400 sq. km left, fishermen have seen all that transformation on their lifetime. 2. The Maldives – A perfect destination for honeymooners, is likely to get submerged by 2035. With just 1.4 meter above the sea level, the pristine waters have been under serious threat due to the changes in the environment due to the melting of glaciers worldwide. 3.    Snow-Capped Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania – It is not a surprise that the ice sheet on Mount Kilimanjaro has reduced massively by 85% due to global warming. (Refer to To Do List For Wanderers) The more is likely to come, as according to experts’ entire snowcap will be melted away by 2035.
4.    Antarctica – The new landscape is underway at the once called ‘white continent’, as the original species and the dynamics of the land are changing at the rapid rate. If the current trends continue, there is likely to be a major impact in Antarctica.
